Legacy Shepherding Ministries CELEBRATED its 15th Anniversary!

What an achievement of God! To date, we have directly invested in hundreds of people who are now passing on, in powerful ways, what they received from the Lord through Legacy Shepherding Ministries, Inc. Here are a few examples in 2021…
International Breakdancers Are Becoming Full-Time Missionaries:
Last year, I led a group of international breakdancers through four mentor training sessions, to help equip them to spiritually mentor other people. Since that training, two more breakdancers – Loic from Cameroon and Josh from Chicago – have become full-time missionaries, and Eugene from the Ukraine has become a part-time missionary! They are now on staff with Breakfree Ministries – a breakdance ministry engaging the hip-hop community around the world!

Michael, their incredible leader, who is a Legacy Shepherding alum, said,
“God is really moving through these men. Each of them are raising up missionaries.
Your mentor training continues to be brought up as they disciple.
‘Who’s your man?’ has become a theme for us.” (Meaning, who is one person you could intentionally invest in?)
Breakfree Ministries has seen an explosion of growth in the Ukraine and other Russian speaking countries, where they now have four missionaries. It’s exciting to see Legacy Shepherding Ministries making an impact through Michael and Breakfree Ministries in parts of the world that don’t speak English and for centuries were closed to the good news of God’s love for us. We invested in Michael. Michael, in turn, has done an amazing job of investing in breakdancers who are investing in others breakdancers. Your support of Legacy Shepherding Ministries has made that impact possible.
Hannah’s Ministry – Generation Distinct – Wins BIG at Competition:

This story is so fun! I’ve been mentoring Hannah for the past two years. Recently, her ministry, Generation Distinct, was nominated to participate in a Shark Tank experience called Exponential Ventures. Hannah described the experience as follows:
“My team and I were incredibly humbled as we started to prepare [for the competition]. Then, in August, a few of us packed up my little blue Honda and drove down to Nashville to tell the Generation Distinct story to a panel of 44 experts for funding and opportunity.

“After 48 hours of presentations, Q&As, breakouts, advancing to the final round, and one final on-stage interview, we received the most humbling news…
“Out of over 100 applicants, Generation Distinct won 2nd Place and was given $15,000 to continue building this vision!
“I’m still speechless. But here is what I can say. This is not because of me. This is because our God deeply cares about the hearts of GenZ and He is simply inviting us to be part of what He is doing to reach them.” – Hannah.
Hannah founded and leads Generation Distinct, a ministry she envisioned when she was a teenager, a ministry of helping young leaders discover their purpose – discover the wrong they were born to make right in the world.
Generation Distinct recently started their current cohort of 12 young leaders who are committed to training through a 6-month program. Get this: The ministry is on mission to unleash 2,023 young leaders who will each have a practical strategy for discovering and taking action on the wrong they were born to make right in the year 2023. Please keep them in prayer. These young leaders are the future.
Paul Helped Create a Non-Profit Called Walk In Love:
Over the past 15 years, five gifted leaders mentored through Legacy Shepherding Ministries, Inc. have started non-profit organizations while being mentored. Paul is the most recent in 2021.

Paul lives in Texas and we meet over Zoom. Through his church, Paul was invited to join a four person committee to assist a church in South Africa whose mission was to meet the practical needs of people within 10 minutes of the church. As Paul and the committee were helping this church accomplish its goals in South Africa, they began to wonder what it might look like to do the same thing in their own town as well. They gathered together and dreamed about what God might want to do in their own community. What practical needs could they meet within 10 minutes of their church? From those discussions, Walk In Love was created.

Per Paul, “We currently have a team of 5 couples working together with a desire to find needs, serve people in practical ways, and build relationships with the people we serve. We don’t simply want to meet their pressing need. We also want to share the love of Christ with them through an ongoing relationship.”

Since February 2021, they have: ● completed 1 major home renovation for the pastor of a small house church and his dad; ● reroofed 4 homes; ● replaced a water heater for a man who hasn’t had hot water in over a decade; ● raised money to help with medical bills for a family who recently lost a daughter in a car accident; ● provided clothing for kids who lost everything when their family’s home caught on fire; ● repaired a wheelchair ramp for an older woman; ● cleaned up and landscaped 3 yards; ● rewired the electricity and provided appliances and furniture for numerous homes; ● repaired a truck’s AC for an older widow; and ● raise about $50k in cash plus over $100k of in-kind donations for plumbing, electric, roofing, etc.

As we invest in people who then invest in others, our impact is multiplied. That multiplication impacts people we don’t even know and will probably never meet in this lifetime. That’s exciting!
This ministry focuses on influential difference-makers who have the potential to lovingly impact other people around them, and then equip those people to do the same with others. As you can tell, the Lord is doing powerful work through these young leaders.
Will you please partner with me financially and prayerfully to continue to invest in influential young leaders?
Every penny will help!
Contributions are tax-deductible.
In His Love,
Randy
