Legacy Shepherding Ministries, Inc. is 10 years old!
Here’s a look at a small sample of people who have been mentored over the past 10 years and what they’ve done with the investment they received (while or since being mentored)…
Jon (& Kelly)– Started Mission Church with 20-some people, attendance is now 700!
Tommy – Mentored & fostered 50+ mentor-ing relationships at his church plant, so far!
Justin – Bravely sharing the love of Jesus in a Muslim country
Kevin – Planted Renewal Church in Oct 2015, attendance is 140 and growing!
Brian & Jodie – Began discipling young adults through a 9 month live-in program in CO!
Todd – Became the campus pastor at Willow Creek Huntley!
Blake – Created Battle-Tested to build character in young people!
Jason – Created Takedown Outdoors to bring urban people back to God’s nature!
Gabe – Joined staff of Alpha USA, and section leading at Willow Creek!
Andrea – Achieved the longest mentor chain, 4 generations simultaneously!
Dawn – Menotored & co-led mentor training sessions at her church!
Eric – Became Senior Pastor of a church of 700! It’s thriving under his leadership!
Nuree – Became a pastor at Willow Creek Crystal Lake!
Michael – Planted his break dance ministry in 2 new cities!
Dave C– Joined church missions staff, created spoken word videos!
Dave K – Energetically led high school boys & men’s small groups!
Justin – Became interim Senior Pastor of a church of 100, started his MDiv and Masters in Counseling!
Scotty – Became a mission worker, and section leader, coach & on the section leader-ship team at Willow!
Tyler – Started mentoring interns and leading mentoring ministry for 20s at Willow Creek!
Lizzie – Became a pastor at a church near London, soon to marry a Lord and become Lady Lizzie!
Danielle – Helping plant a church, pouring into women with her heart for formation!
Dan – Joined Mission Church staff to help develop missional communities!
Neil – Joined staff at Willow Creek & WCA, currently consults churches and orgs!
Louis – Doing prison ministry providing correspondence Bible studies to inmates!
You Can Make A Difference:
One-on-one discipleship is a powerful thing. It allows the spiritual mentoring experience to be tailored specifically to the individual and the issues they may be facing in life that hold them back. By addressing these issues head on, these young leaders are now better equipped and empowered to discover and live out their kingdom purposes in our world. And they’re doing just that! These young people are actively bringing about positive changes in our world.
